As I am into my elder years decisions can be difficult to make. I know that the Lord has used me in the past and I have been feeling like I am in a holding pattern. Not so! Scripture study, music, and prayer!! I’m 15 and converted to Christianity about six months ago. I’ve struggled with anxiety for more than half of my life and unfortunately I didn’t receive treatment for many years. I just started going to therapy this week, hopefully that helps! Anyway, ever since I made the decision to become a Christian, I’ve grown so much in my relationship with God and it gives me comfort to know that even if I have to live with severe anxiety my whole life, He will give me the strength to overcome it, and in the next life, I’ll be freed from it. My church community has also helped me so much, probably without realizing it. We don’t have a pastor- the members of the church give talks every Sunday, and some of the things they’ve talked about have helped me realize that I really am not alone and everyone has a turd on their lawn somewhere. It’s comforting to know that other people in my church have found ways to lead amazing, happy lives, even with their mental health struggles, and it motivates me not to give up. Anyway yeah when I read the scriptures and pray, it’s like the Holy Ghost just takes my anxiety and puts it somewhere else for a little while. Of course, it’s only temporary relief, but holy cow it’s incredible.

I personally believe that Jesus atoned for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemane, and when He took our sins upon Himself, the spiritual pain He was in was so immense that he bled from every pore. Jesus knows all of your pain and anxiety though and He’s always there with you 🫶

Josh, I may never meet you again. But I remember you came to Sebring and I was working security and I was listening to your song Carry me when I once lived in Broward County in Pompano Beach fla. What I didn't know is that you were struggling with anxiety in the season of your life. Praise God he brought you through. What I'm amazed is you left the stage where you were practicing came where I was sitting I was amazed I prayed when I lived in Broward before moving to Sebring. I remember saying one day I'm going to meet this guy. And there you were sitting next to me hearing about my anxieties as I begin to shed tear up in front of you. And yet didn't move away from me. You gave me a hug and a smile and at that moment I felt the love of Jesus that he was going to carry me through it all. God bless you bro.

Josh, thank you. I’m so grateful that you choose to share your gift of music with the world and help us understand that we really aren’t alone. Mental Help reminds me of a poem called “Footprints” that I just think is so beautiful. Here it is: One night I dreamed a dream. As I was walking along the beach with my Lord. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, One belonging to me and one to my Lord. After the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that at many times along the path of my life, especially at the very lowest and saddest times, there was only one set of footprints. This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it. "Lord, you said once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me." He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you Never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you." The album also made me think of a song by Matthew West called “Truth be Told.” I don’t know if you’ve heard it, but I think you’d like it. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you so, so much for writing the songs I need to hear. As a new Christian in an atheist family, I’ve been having a really difficult time navigating the trials that I’m facing, but I keep building the foundation of my life on the Savior, hoping and praying that it gets better soon. Scripture study, prayer, and music help me to hold on, and I know that everything will be okay. I love listening to your songs all the time, but especially when I need a reminder that God is there and He will help. I hope you’re doing well 🩷

Thank you Josh Wilson, I was falling away from my faith for a long time but for some reason as soon As I heard your song today after years and years of falling farther and farther away from God. I'm not sure how but your song made me realize what I'm doing and also how far I've fallen. As soon as the song hit it's first chorus, I began to cry out to God and beg for his forgiveness I know I have a long road ahead of me but it's because of your song I realized that I'm falling to darkness and away from the Lord. thank you.
